Secretary’s Report<\/div>\n

We have 134 members plus family as per Jan 1.\u00a0 Reports were handed out.\u00a0 We have a good number of new members and good membership renewals.<\/div>\n
\u00a0<\/div>\n
We need to fill out the report for the Federation but can\u2019t find where to do that as they don\u2019t have it on their website.\u00a0 We will look into how to do that.<\/div>\n
\u00a0<\/div>\n
Tracphone:\u00a0 We need to check the minutes.\u00a0 People working at the store just keep an eye on it.\u00a0 If it gets close, then give Tawnya a call.<\/div>\n

Treasurer\u2019s Report<\/div>\n
\u00a0<\/div>\n
We had another good month!\u00a0 More income than expenses. 38 memberships processed.\u00a0 Good club sales in the store for Christmas.\u00a0 The club sold two tumblers.\u00a0\u00a0<\/div>\n
\u00a0<\/div>\n
Expenses:\u00a0 Paid the Rent for the Mall and PO Box.\u00a0\u00a0<\/div>\n
\u00a0<\/div>\n
Acquisitions:\u00a0 Gordy purchased some new thunder eggs for the store.\u00a0 It was a Good buy!\u00a0 He got a good deal.\u00a0\u00a0<\/div>\n
\u00a0<\/div>\n
Federation Report<\/div>\n
\u00a0<\/div>\n
Submitted the collected scores for the survey that we sent out.\u00a0 The highest suggestion to them was to develop scholarships.\u00a0 Haven\u2019t heard anything back from them about it.\u00a0 We will be providing them with feedback about fees and benefits.\u00a0 They will probably discuss it at the march meeting, which we wont\u2019 be at.<\/div>\n

There appears to be a problem that our annual show isn\u2019t listed in the advertising in their ads.\u00a0\u00a0<\/div>\n
\u00a0<\/div>\n
We will be reporting our membership to the Federation but as of right now they appear to not need it yet.<\/div>\n
\u00a0<\/div>\n
Lapidary Room:<\/div>\n
\u00a0<\/div>\n
There is 2 people signed up for this coming Thursday evening open Lap room.\u00a0 We still need someone to volunteer to help run the room.\u00a0 Two people would be good.\u00a0 They would need to be vetted and trained on policies and procedures.\u00a0 Tawnya will\u00a0 send out an email and post an ad to members.<\/div>\n
\u00a0<\/div>\n
There is a Lapidary Introduction training and class on the 13th at 6pm and the cost is $30.\u00a0 Sign up at the mall and pay.\u00a0 Space is limited.\u00a0 Members only.\u00a0 This will qualify for you to use the Lap room.\u00a0\u00a0<\/div>\n
\u00a0<\/div>\n
Annual Show:\u00a0 It is going well.\u00a0 There is only one or two spaces that haven\u2019t paid.\u00a0 We have one food vendor for Saturday\u00a0 and are still looking for one for Sunday.<\/div>\n
\u00a0<\/div>\n
Need to do advertising for the show.\u00a0 Need to set that up on Facebook<\/div>\n
\u00a0<\/div>\n
ATM machine.\u00a0 The new guy was flaky and we ran into issues at the Rock Rendezvous.\u00a0 Might look for another or will work it out.\u00a0<\/div>\n

New Business:\u00a0<\/div>\n

Need a new Director for 2026.\u00a0 Michael will reach out to a few people.\u00a0 New board members will be sworn into at the next meeting.\u00a0\u00a0<\/div>\n

Show and Tell theme:\u00a0 Fossils.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/div>\n
\u00a0<\/div>\n
Field Trips:\u00a0 The Mineral Council will have their 2026 field trips coming up soon in January.\u00a0 The schedule will probably be very similar to next year.\u00a0 We will try to expand our own as well.<\/div>\n
\u00a0<\/div>\n
Tables:\u00a0 We need more tables for the new storage container and for the Annual Show.\u00a0 2- 8′ and 2- 6′.\u00a0 Candy will go get them.<\/div>\n
\u00a0<\/div>\n
Probably need a work party to move things in to the new storage container.\u00a0\u00a0<\/div>\n
\u00a0<\/div>\n
RRR:\u00a0 Last year\u00a0 the Rock Rendezvous was self funding.\u00a0 We are going to move it to \u201cparticipating\u201d members which will not make it self supporting but general consensus was that that is alright.\u00a0 Limit to 30 tables instead of 40.\u00a0 We will check to make sure that they are at meetings and known.\u00a0 Will mention this at the meeting.<\/div>\n
\u00a0<\/div>\n
Should it be a one day or a two day?\u00a0 General discussion that two days worked:\u00a0 Saturday and Sunday,\u00a0 Ralph will go book it for last week of Sept.\u00a0 Make sure not to conflict with Seafest<\/div>\n

Club Tee Shirts:\u00a0 We would like to do a tshirt.\u00a0 Seren did it last year.\u00a0 We will check with her.<\/div>\n
\u00a0<\/div>\n
Bus trip to Burke museum in Seattle. \u00a0 Summer or Fall:\u00a0 Looked to renting a\u00a0 15 passenger van.\u00a0 It will be a Day trip.\u00a0 Looking into group pricing etc. (possibly first Thursday of the month but busy)\u00a0 possibly in the Fall.<\/div>\n

Store at the Mall:\u00a0 We are looking for someone to cover at the Mall. Saturday 11-3.\u00a0 New vendor.\u00a0 You can have a shelf.\u00a0 Come to the store or Contact Sandy.<\/div>\n
