{"id":722,"date":"2022-05-03T13:13:01","date_gmt":"2022-05-03T20:13:01","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mtbakerrockclub.org\/?p=722"},"modified":"2023-01-03T18:57:58","modified_gmt":"2023-01-04T02:57:58","slug":"board-meeting-minutes-april-4-2022","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mtbakerrockclub.org\/?p=722","title":{"rendered":"Board Meeting Minutes, April 4, 2022"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Meeting called to order by Candi at 6 pm.\u00a0 Attending &#8211; Candi, Gordy, Wes, Deb, Glenn, Ralph, Bonnie, and Michael.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Secretary&#8217;s Report:<\/strong>\u00a0 The March 7, 2022, minutes were approved.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>Treasurer\u2019s Report: <\/strong>\u00a0Deb reported on bills and income.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><strong>Membership:<\/strong>\u00a0 Ten new members were added at the show and one at the mall this past month.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Washington State Mineral Council (WSMC):\u00a0 <\/strong>On April 16, 2022, there is a field trip to Racehorse Creek.\u00a0 Please check the WSMC website for more information and about other field trips and where\/when to meet.\u00a0The website is: \u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/mineralcouncil.files.wordpress.com\/2022\/01\/fieldtrips_2022-1.pdf\">2022 Trips.pub &#8211; Microsoft Publisher (wordpress.com)<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><strong>Lapidary Report:<\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A volunteer to help in the Lapidary room will be needed in the future due to Glenn is moving to Hawaii. Candi is going to learn from Glenn how the Intro class runs.<\/li>\n<li>Tracy is going to start the Lapidary class in the near future.<\/li>\n<li>Remember, if you use the equipment, it is up to you to make sure the water is filled in saws and grinders. Also, you need to clean up after yourselves when using the equipment.\u00a0 The person in charge is there for information and safety.\u00a0 They are not there to clean up the machines after use.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Show 2022:\u00a0 <\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><span style=\"font-size: 1rem;\">Deb reviewed the totals for the show. We had positive feedback from the vendors.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li>Wes discussed the cost of the table rentals and feels we should purchase tables for the club.\u00a0 There was an issue with the rental company not delivering the tables at the time stated which would have put the vendors and club far behind in set up.\u00a0 A motion was made and seconded that we purchase 30 6&#8242; tables for the club. It was approved by 100% vote by the board.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>We will have a detailed floor map made up for the next show giving vendors their spot and where the club will set up, etc.\u00a0 Deb asked that there be signs made for the silent auction table and club sales that are at a height above the tables. Bonnie and Nancy will work on the signs.\u00a0 It was discussed to sell some display cases.\u00a0 More information will be forthcoming.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>There were enough volunteers to load up the items from storage to the show.
